2025 Open Gardens 1st June 2-5.30pm
Sunday June 1st from 2pm to 5.30pm: Roman and Castle Roads are built on the site of the former Botanic Garden, itself once part of the priory of the Grey Friars. Residents open some of the gardens, provide tea and cakes, an ice cream stall and a gnome hunt for children. All in aid of charity. Entrance £3 per person (children free). Cash only please. Enjoy an afternoon viewing beautiful gardens – and some houses on Roman Road have the Roman/Mediaeval town wall as their boundary!
