Mediaeval Grey Friars – new information

We know that the Grey Friars were supported by donations of money and resources in kind by a wide range of people from kings and nobility to local residents. We mention this in chapter 2 of our book.

We have now been informed of more gifts from local people to the priory courtesy of Sue Howlett of Mersea, who has researched this at the Essex Record Office.
