The Grey Friars girl who inspired great actors

Pamela Brown CCHS 1936 -1939.

This famous author of many books for children was born in Colchester in December 1924.

She attended Colchester County High School until 1939 when, at the outbreak of the Second World War, she was evacuated to her extended family in Wales.
